Our design studio plays a crucial part in ensuring all of our products have a strong visual presence, are well communicated and on brand.
Senior designers are responsible for producing materials across a wide range of media, including print, web, email and display graphics.
The role will be very hands on and must be able to take work from concept to completion and the successful applicant must be bright, articulate, a good communicator and able to understand the current business needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Essential design skills required:
• Experience in editorial design including page layouts and cover designs
• Proven experience in design of marketing collateral including subscription campaigns, new product launches, Advertising campaigns and event literature and signage
• Understanding of effective web design including emails, micro sites, landing pages and banners and buttons
Additional responsibilities include:
• Medium to large project coordination
• Work schedule planning
• Regular dialogue with relevant publishers, marketing managers and Editors
• Art direction for more junior staff
• Booking freelance staff when required

• Strong typography skills
• Good communication skills
• Substantial previous design experience
• Good working knowledge of Quark, Indesign, Illustrator and Photohop
• Enthusiastic team player who uses initiative
• Good organisation skills
• Proven people management
• Diplomatic, convincing, confident, can do attitude
• Recognised design qualification
• Confident in commissioning illustrators and photographers
Preferred
• Previous experience in a publishing environment
• Working knoweledge of Flash and Dreamweaver
