To be responsible for generating top-quality written content for Financial Adviser, the leading weekly trade newspaper from FT Business
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To source, investigate and write up breaking news stories
• To turn turgid press releases into strong, compelling copy
• To interview high-profile figures for the newspaper
Essential
• Significant experience on local or trade newspapers
• The ability to write strong copy, in excellent English, to tight deadlines
• A personable, professional manner
• An instinct for a good news story
Desirable
• Previous experience in financial services
• An existing contacts book for the industry
• A degree is preferable, but not essential. Also desirable is a NTCJ or equivalent post-graduate diploma in journalism
• Strong self-starter, with a personable and professional manner
