Overview
The Personal Finance cluster provides valuable and engaging content to consumer financial audiences through brands such as ft.com, FT Money (the Weekend FT's personal finance supplement) and Investors Chronicle (the UK’s leading website & weekly magazine for private investors). We are rapidly growing our digital business and content revenue through a wide variety of new channels. Our portfolio of digital products and events includes www.investorschronicle.co.uk, the Investors Chronicle Investment Roadshows, Investing in Gold and Forex events, Wealth Management Awards and Investment Awards

To drive revenue from personal finance content from the FT (FT Money, ft.com & Investors Chronicle). To deliver strategic marketing activity for Investors Chronicle to grow our audience of print and online subscribers for our portfolio of digital products, magazine and events.

Key Tasks:
Working with a Marketing Executive and Marketing Manager on the Implementation of acquisition and renewal campaigns for print and online subscribers to Investors Chronicle and IC Advantage including:

Online marketing - SEO, SMO, SEM, online advertising, email campaigns and affiliate marketing to drive subscription revenue, registrations and traffic

Direct mail and insert cards - Planning, production and analysis of direct mail campaigns and insert card promotions to acquire subscribers and meet revenue targets

Events - Marketing our programme of IC events and drive registrations and payments through targeted DM initiatives

Working closely with the Event Manager, Advertising Sales team and Editorial dept to ensure speaker, delegates & sponsors' needs are met

Organise marketing material and presentations at events including questionnaire and post event analysis

Newstrade promotions - Assist with newstrade promotions, printed marketing material and communication to the trade. Compile sales reports and help with supporting PR activity

Reporting
To undertake ROI and CPA campaign analysis. Produce weekly marketing and sales KPI reports

Customer Service - To monitor the efficiency of our subscription bureau (Dovetail) and newsstand distribution agency (Comag), working closely with their customer service team to brief them on all sales and marketing activity

Essential Skills:

3yrs + experience of acquisition and retention marketing; direct mail, online advertising & email campaigns

Online marketing encompassing search engine marketing, SEO, affiliate promotions & email promotions

Previous experience of budget management and P&L responsibilities

Project management skills are essential for prioritising and managing the varied and challenging workload

Strong copywriting and proofreading, experience of briefing designers and external agencies and/or suppliers to deliver high quality and cost effective services

Awareness & interest in new technologies & platforms

Initiative and drive

 

Prefered Skills:

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes

Event marketing

Experience of working in the Financial Sector is preferable but not essential
