Financial Times Global Conferences & Events part of the Financial Times Group is looking for a Delegate Sales The role is predominately a sales function calling past delegates and similarly hot leads to encourage the early registration of delegates and 'up-selling' of additional delegate places and workshops. We are looking for ambitious, results-oriented individuals who can demonstrate:
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and win business through your attention to detail and sales mindset
• Resilience, enthusiasm and a will to win
• Commercial awareness
Job Role:
• Negotiating and selling delegate places to senior decision makers
• Be expected to achieve daily call targets and close business over the phone
• Attend regular briefing meetings to update yourself on all events held
• Prepare weekly sales reports
Experience:
• The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• You must have experience of working in a sales role or experience of working in the conference industry
• The successful candidate must be fluent in English and must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written form, other languages will be a plus
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will have proved themselves to be an excellent communicator and who can identify customer's needs, delivering a high level of customer service whilst maximising the sales opportunity.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
