The Financial Times is looking for an additional editor to join its busy New York newsroom as efforts proceed to further integrate the FT’s print and online operations.
The job covers a wide range of website and newspaper production tasks, including copy editing, commissioning and writing.
Applicants must have journalistic experience, demonstrate a good working knowledge of global markets as well as US business, economics and politics. They should also be familiar with the Financial Times. They must be able to edit copy swiftly and accurately under pressure and be confident in commissioning stories from our US network.
Flexibility is a must. The web editor must be willing to work collaboratively within a small team and be open to new ways of developing the FT’s online presence.
Good technical skills are important. Experience with Adobe Flash and video/audio editing is useful though not essential.
