Job Purpose
Supporting the editor of fDi (Foreign Direct Investment) magazine in writing, reporting, editing, commissioning and proofing copy, as well as representing the magazine at international events and in meetings with high-level business and political leaders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Generating story ideas and writing news stories and features for print and online versions of the magazine.
• Managing the news pages for each issue of the magazine, including planning, writing, editing and proofing.
• Liaising with the internal advertising teams to deal with clients’ needs and requirements with regards to sponsored editorial.
• Chairing roundtables and panels; speaking at conferences; and representing the magazine at trade shows, networking functions and other events.

• Interest in international affairs.
• Willingness to travel extensively and frequently.
• Excellent writing, reporting and editing abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Quick to learn and to suggest new ideas.
• Good public-speaking skills and a professional, proactive approach to networking and cultivating industry and governmental contacts.
• The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and will demonstrate all of the above plus a thorough and organised approach to prioritising and managing a varied and challenging workload.
Desirable
• Considerable experience of working in media and/or communications.
• Fluency in a foreign language.
• Podcasting and other new-media experience.
